Ts such a childhood album that I really got to love up to this date and it never gets old for me. Amazing instrumentals, amazing lyrics, amazing execution of everything and it fills me up with nostalgia and happiness, but I would admit it's kind of overrated, that's why is not a 100. Is still fantastic though.
PD: i'm 18 so no, I'm not a boomer (but I got boomer music taste when I was a child), thanks.
Highlights: Stairway To Heaven is one of the most emblematic rock songs ever made.
So, you really think this album deserves less love? You really do? Just to make sure and beat you up.
This has been the most fun listen I've got all of this decade, with all of these weird components that makes this album so abnormally pleasing. Including how some tracks got this drone quality to them, the really odd offbeats and that voice deep in the mix, giving this album such an unique, fun and dynamic listen. I can even see this album going up, it just grows more and more on me and is ... read more
This is the most underrated album from Jaar, and it bothers my soul, is just a great set of melancholic and haunting ambient tracks that work amazing as one.
Production on point (Classic from Jaar), great variation of sounds and ambients, and amazing recreation of the soundtrack for the movie it was made for "Colour of Pomegranates". As a soundtrack, this is incredible for the movie, the songs match all of the scenes and moments of the movie, and it really shows how elaborate all of ... read more
This album is equivalent to getting distorted memories of really tragic moments, with a bit of grace and beauty all at once, wow.
Starting with the production, abrasive and really big for a noise album, getting these really amazing chords or strings going in the background, and all of the noise invading it like a snowstorm over an orchestra (if that makes any sense), and surprisingly pretty instrumental underneath of all of the noise in various songs, most of them are tight and really ... read more
This album got some high points, but there's so much fillerrrrrrrrrrr
Like, some songs are really well made and structured with solid production, but there's also songs that production is way too muddy or badly mixed, that got no relevance on the album or that showcases these weird experiments that are just cluttered and out of place completely. I don't mean that this was designed to be a totally coherent listen, but not to ruin the experience with songs that um... Doesn't bring something ... read more
Look. Is the same premise of TDSOTM but is too long for me and is just good tbh.
Well, let me justify myself. This album (for me) has some songs that are there just cause, and doesn't get anything of value on the album. Also, I feel this album not as well executed as TDSOTM and this wall feels kind of dull. With songs that feel lazy or too extended, this album got some flaws that I could not miss, so yeah.
Highlights: numb
The same thing i said about WYWH states here, is overlooked by the funny triangle and is better.
This is their magnum opus and I'm stated in that opinion. This one with Animals are the most unique out of their discography and gives another type of vibe for me (instead of all this druggy bull).
The same immaculate production, mixed with a 180 on the instrumentals, playing with the mixing and the sound pallettes way more often, giving a more interesting listen overall. And also, this fulfills what TDSOTM does: giving a whole experience. With this melancholic and otherworldly touch on all of ... read more
Yeah, yeah, it's a classic and whatever, but I'm annoyed of how overrated this album is. It sounds great but not for a perfect score at all, sorry.
The production is what I can say is really great for its time, but it's not really that the instrumentals make anything so special for me, at least in the kind of way people say it.
I would say, Money and Time are 10s, but the rest feels lightly derivative and not really special, giving the existence of WYWH and Animals, but yeah it's ... read more
Ok. It convinced me. Just let me blow my mind endlessly with this.
Like, first, what the fuck does this man make to get onto this level of production with samples?... Is so impossible for my ears to describe how clean and full of body it sounds, is unreal.
Second, the type of ambients this creates is unreal. Making all of these songs to melt with themselves and blow into space endlessly, even with the oddest takes on the album given the ambience (Up, Sleep Dealer) and melting the whole thing ... read more
This is his best project imo (despite of if being more of a collaborative record). Good variety of tracks and his aggro personality showing up like crazy, yeah, is nice.
The beats aight, his delivery aight, the lyrics meh, is aight, is fun.
Highlights: Boost, H20, 777, Vulture, Wassup Vro.
Bringing this album to something that was a really weird time of my life, it was kind of another lo-fi album with a really bland production, lame lyrics and a really unreal portray of depression and pain, it brings some ideas and delivers them as too redundant or annoying, his vocals are... Yeah, I prefer the screaming X.
And don't make me start on the songs in which he's just with the acoustic guitar or a sad piano, they seem so low effort and dumbed down. Man...

This is your typical Future doing Future stuff, but besides that, there's not much of something that brings this album to a new life. It feels really... Future; not really evolving to another sound and doing what he knows. I think is ok, just that he could bring his style to a new life.
And also, it feels so unnecessarily long and full of fillers or songs that sounds really repetitive, but still... It's Future stuff.

This album is one great EDM record that brings amazing production, a really tight set of songs that are really enjoyable and accesible, but really different nonetheless.
Bringing a more "mainstream" sound that mixes this really odd quality that Caribou brings from his previous work, this stands as one of the most solid EDM records on a long time. With these beats and melodies that blend really nicely and a great variety of sound from really danceable and easy-going (Can't Do Without ... read more
Let's say... There's not much explanation. This is one of the most personal albums I've heard.
Starting with the craftsmanship of the album, it's simple, organic and raw, but full of emotion and personality, giving some of the most amazing musical moments I've heard.
Starting from the incredibly depressing and auto-reflective "Between The Bars", that is Elliott ramming an acoustic guitar and flowing with it too give us a trip into his problems with alcohol and depression, and how ... read more
Best live record ever made, no doubt. What an amazing trip of psychedelic rock and dream pop, on one amazingly performed album.
Giving an amazing production quality to it, the great instrumentals, the angelic voice of Sato gliding on these amazing pieces of music and giving an angelic experience so far.
Highlights: Long Season is the pinnacle of music.
This is the most heartbreaking album of the decade, how Sufjan expresses all of these emotions towards his dead mother and himself is utterly painful and even depressing. Mixed with an incredible instrumental work that ambients all of these songs so perfectly to the driving lyrics and soothing voice... Amazing.
Highlights: Fourth Of July is the only one I can stand, and just because how pure and dense this song is... And how much it made me cry.
These are really tight deep house songs that work really good together. Even if this isn't the best house project to date or anything like that, is such a well made album with nice production and even better melody switches between songs and a really easy going sound.
Highlights: Thank God I'm A Lizard, Project Cybersyn, Pale Blue Dot, Parallel Sequence, R.A.T.S.
Alt-J did a great work on making an unique and driving alternative rock album with a lot of styles and inspirations that feel really fresh.
With a really well made production, an amazing instrumental/melodic variation on each song, the driving lyrics and the fact that this is such a well put together project being their first, is something to recognize from this band. Amazing work man!
Highlights: Tesselate, Breezeblocks, Something Good, Matilda, Fitzpleasure.
