After a few listens, I gotta say Charli has done it once again. I'm surprised she could make a great album in a short amount of time. I'm impressed. This album shows the progression of her as an artist over the last few years. For the most part, I think this is a great albums with a few lulls but ESPECIALLY visions. God visions is bad.
Favourites: Claws, C 2.0 and Detonate
EDIT: I like this album a little less after more listens, but I think it's still a good album by ... read more
This album is great. An awesome mix of modern and old pop, rnb and metal. Rina also has a killer voice, honestly I'm surprised how she isn't famous already.
Kid Cudi's keeps his form after Kids See Ghosts. Great rapping, fire beat. I'm excited for Entergalactic even more now!
EDIT: This is based on my initial listen so my score will change over time.
Honestly considering I wasn't expecting much based on the reviews I've seen for this album, I'm pleasantly surprised. If I just look at this as an album which is just some 80's inspired pop and something to groove to, I like it. If at this critically though, the album doesn't have much substance, lyrically and production wise. Overall I enjoy it though since it's something I can easily groove to
EDIT:I was wrong lmao. This album bangs. Couple of duds which lower its score but I love it.
Loved the album. It feels like an 80's infusion with all of Abel's past work. I need to give it more listens but on initial listen, I'm very happy about this.
Favourites: Hardest to Love, Scared to Live, After Hours and Faith
Least Favourite: Escape from LA
EDIT: For me this is the second best in his discography. House of Balloons is number one.
EDIT 2: I like this album more after more listens, however Escape from LA is still a lull on this album. Save Your Tears grew on me a lot.
Unique beats and melodies, excellent flows and rhymes from Sweatshirt. Solid album from initial listen. To be fair, I did give this a listen before but I removed it because I didn't believe I really gave it the listen it deserves.
EDIT: I had to update this review because my thoughts on this album have changed for the better. The topics of depression and suicide on this album has resonated with so much more in this past year. I connect with it so much more
After my initial listen so here are my thoughts. Killer beats and melodies by Madlib. Amazing lyricism and flow from MF Doom. I like the skits quite a bit too. This album is amazing. Let's see if it ages well though.
Future Edit: I don't know when I listened to this album when I reviewed and rated this but I'm assuming it's at least been 2-3 years. I've been listening to this album again more after this long while, the more amazing it is. It's aged incredibly well and it's a statement for ... read more
Getting Trilogy vibes here, strong instrumental but the lyricism could be better. However this makes me very excited for the new album. I hope it will be good.
Edit: I take back what I said about the lyricism of this track. Wow this track is so damn good.
Listened to the leak. Man most of these songs are as good as the singles, I'm feeling a light to decent 9 here. I'll share more thoughts after consecutive listens.
Edit: I think it's a little lower after more listens more like a decent 8
EDIT: More like a light 8. I think this albums doesn't have consistency through it's tracks. Very high highs, some good tracks and some meh tracks. A little disappointed but I still like the album.
This is an interesting album to say the least. The chill-pop production with the vocals are excellent. I enjoyed the album mainly because of the two points before. I wish though the lyrics had more depth to them though. I respect the topics Surfaces talks about, for example being motivated to take risks in the world and live your life and be free. Nonetheless, Surfaces have a good project and something to build on for future projects. I will be listening.
An interesting project. Each of the songs feel really unique. Sizzling being jazzy and techno. Romeo feels like a funky disco song. Just is a disco-hiphop-soul fusion. However it has its dull moments like If. Overall, I like this project but I just don't see myself giving it a focused listen again. I'd put it as music I'd listen to in the background. I think it's just not for me over
The beats are killer, samples are awesome and a unique sound. Rapper A$AP Rocky, expresses the chilled, braggadocious rap style that he has and I love it. The lyrics are here to support this. The mixtape however, loses some traction, in a couple of songs, by weak features, some just meh songs. Overall though, Live Love A$AP is a great mixtape.
A good album. Without the good production and Abel's strong vocals I think this project would fall very short of the score I give this. The lyrics on this album are very repetitive. A good chunk of these songs lean towards generic pop if not for the production. Overall, for my listen I do like this album, but I feel this could have been so much more if some songs had been cut out and more thought had been put into these songs which are lacking.

A really good pop album. I love Caroline's voice. Highlights would be Hit me where it hurts, Ocean of Tears and So Hot You're Hurting my Feelings. The only song I dislike would be Pang.
Edit: I liked Door now, so I increased the rating of the album somewhat.
This song is great. My first introduction to Dominic Fike is good one. I will be looking through this man's discography
This song bops. Better than DHL and now 17 tracks too! Can't wait for the album.
EDIT: I think 90 was too high for this track, after more listens I like it less. Still a bop though
FINAL EDIT: The instrumental really carries this track.
