I don't know what to say. I just keep coming back to this album a lot and loving it more and more with each listen. It's boundary breaking, electropop with such vulnerability and honesty coming from Charli XCX. God she's such a fantastic artist
83 -> 90 -> 100.
I've never hated a song more this one and it's not even about Drake's feature. This guy sucks so much. I don't even care that it's a meme song or whatever. It's literally so ass. Never make music again. I'd rather kill myself then listen to this song ever again in my life. Not even kidding. Snow4Day's vocals are freaking ass. Drake sounds okay but it doesn't even redeem the track.
82->97-> 100
I initially gave this a 82, but when I listened to this last year I wasn't ready to appreciate. It's just so awesome
Edit 2025: listening to this album in my car after a lot while and it felt like it was my first listen. Perfection
On first listen, the singles are the best but that doesn't mean the tracks on this album are crap in any sense. This is a cohesive, well produced and solid project by Caroline. I'm excited for the future. I have to say Billions while still my least favourite has grown on me in the context of the album. Not a fan of the autotune on the chorus though. (also not a bot, I literally live in a country where's it released earlier than everyone else midnight my time)

On first listen, I like this project but I think the singles were the best imo. Still a solid showing though from Paramore.
EDIT: After a few listens, this finally clicked for me. I think my expectations were subverted cause I was expecting more hard-hitting tracks like This is Why but that's a good thing it isn't because this is an excellent project. 70 -> 83
Never been so obsessed with a song in a while. That chorus is just so enchanting
The first track is fire, the last two are okay. (relative to other music out there). This is still pretty bad lol. Did give me a good laugh though
Just starting with Joni Mitchell, thanks to Phoebe Bridgers mentioning that's she's one of her inspirations. Have to say I dug this project a fair bit. It's very beautiful and Joni's voice is so comforting I feel as if she's talking to a child? (hope that doesn't sound weird hahahaha). Favourites for me would be Chelsea Morning, Songs to Aging Children Come and Both Sides Now(I freaking love this track)
An amazing start to my year. I loved this project, just as much as Homogenic, maybe even more. The lyrical themes on love, sex and her relationship with her significant other are great. The production is beautiful, I love the glitches. I don't really know what else to say on my first listen other than amazing.
So I've listened this project a few times over the years including most recently 6 months ago, but for some reason it just didn't click. I liked it but I never loved it. This listen as we end the year and are on the 25th year anniversary of this project, it somehow clicked! I think this album is awesome. I'm not the most articulate when it comes to doing these reviews, but I connected with the lyrical themes of the project as it feels very relevant today in terms of technology as well as just ... read more
Before the end of the year, I just want to say how amazing this album is. Everything from the production, the lyrical theme and content and Bush's vocals is just perfect. Kate Bush didn't click for me at first, but listening to this again with better headphones earlier in this year made me totally in love with this project even though I already had it 90
Fantastic project, I haven't really listened to JID before but you can feel the hunger from him. The production, the rapping, the lyrical content is all top notch. Probably my favourite hip-hop project this year
Great project, but it is a little long for my liking. could have shortened it by a few tracks as some songs just feel a bit samey. It's honestly so beautiful though and Natalia's voice is amazing. Even though I can't understand what's she's saying, I can feel it.
Giving this another listen after a long time, my thoughts are not really different. I can appreciate this project but I just don't think there isn't anything so standout as a whole. It's just good?
Favourite tracks: Melt Session 1, Walkin, Mental and X-Wing
On my first listen, I don't think I absorb the lyrics of an album. However based on everything else I love this project. I love the genre blending of folk, electronic and hip-hop. I think from Track 5 onwards is where this album starts to really pick up. I was totally absorbed in the atmosphere of the project and I loved it. It feels so heavenly, yet dark and desolate all at the same time. Can't wait to give this more listens.
